Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility Requirements

Degree/Credit

You must earn your degree or certificate outside the U.S. from a post-secondary academic institution recognized by your country’s Ministry of Education. This ensures your credentials meet international academic standards and are valid for program eligibility.

Course Duration

Eligible programs must involve a minimum of 2 years of academic coursework. This requirement ensures that participants have gained sufficient knowledge and practical skills before embarking on their internship or training experience. Shorter programs may not provide the necessary foundation for success in the program.

Master’s Program Eligibility

If you're completing a one-year master's program, you must finish the first year before your internship starts. This ensures you’ve acquired enough academic training to benefit fully from the U.S.-based practical experience.

Academic Coursework

At least 50% of your coursework must be academic (not purely practical) and conducted in a classroom setting. This balance ensures your education is grounded in theory, not only hands-on or vocational content.

Program Recognition

Only degrees from institutions officially accredited or recognized by national education authorities qualify. This guarantees your academic background meets the necessary quality and credibility standards for participation in the program.
